Have we really gone this far with the PS3 craze that someone has to get injured in a race for one of the open slots for a PS3?
A man in West Bend bang his head into a pole while racing for one of ten seats that would grant him the right to purchase a PS3. Is he nuts? Are we all?
I work next door to a Best Buy and when I stepped outside for lunch, I could see them lined up. It's a video game system. So what if you're not the first one to own the latest system? Is this really something important?
I know, a lot of my readers love video games -- so do I -- but running into a pole while racing a mob is kind of silly, isn't it?
Or am I just an old (39) woman?
Smiles!

I agree. But it's not just PS3. It was tickle-me-elmo, and that other dumb toy (furby or something?)
We just have a consumerist culture that promotes idiocy over rational thought. And I'm not even all that old!
Are you saying 39 is old? Just kidding.
I don't understand the need for all of this. Yeah, I get that we need to sell products to build the economy, but who's getting rich -- because I'm not?
