The PC Weenies: Tech 'Toons with a Byte!

I don't think I've reviewed PC Weenies. It is a funny one panel webcomic that updates M-W-F. For a small fee, the artist will include you as a guest in the strip, which I thought was a pretty cool idea.

PC Weenies has been on the web since 1998 -- so it must be doing something right. I like the below comic, as I've always dreamed of buying an ALIENWARE pc, but if Dell's taking them over -- forget about it!
One last thing, if you aren't into computers and being a techy, you might not enjoy this comic as much as I do.

8 1/2 by Eleven

In case you ever wonder if I actually read the few comments that are left on my site, well, of course I do. And, if you wonder if I click-thru to check out your profiles and websites, well, I do that too. And, if you draw a webcomic and you want me to review it here, feel free to drop me and email and I'll check it out.

But, I'm getting away from the subject.

So, I did read a comment, checked out the profile and found a new comic to review. I'm still making my way through the archives, but I can tell you the drawing has much improved from the beginning until now.

So, once I'm finished reading the archives, I'll post a better review. Until then, why don't you take the time to check it out for yourself?

Blessings!

Zelda -- Say it isn't so...

The new Zelda is going to be only released for the Nintendo DS system. Why? Why are they doing this to me? I've still never even purchased a gameboy (although, I did purchase the adapter to use on my GameCube system).

How will I live without the Zelda game? I love Zelda!

Man, this can't be fair!

So, here's a question, who really has this much money to buy different gaming systems just for the few games they offer? Know what I mean? Like, you buy X box for Halo and PS2 for Sly Cooper and now DS for Zelda.

Well, I don't have the $ for an X-box nor do I have the $ for the Nintendo DS, so Link will just have to do it all without me.

Unless, of course, someone out there loves me and buys the DS system for me! :-)

Brinkerhoff

Okay, this webcomic is by the man who brough us the weekly Zoo Comic, Gabe Strine. This is a daily comic that you have to read -- honest, you need to stop reading this review RIGHT NOW and go read this comic.

It is about a rabbit who has like a ton of kids and he gets a divorce. Apparently, having four rabbit's feet really doesn't make you lucky.

Anyway, it's about Brinkerhoff the rabbit's adventures in his new life. Problems with his mom, his ex-wife and his kids.

It touches my funny bone. If you don't believe me, read this:

You should be laughing your rear off -- especially if you read it on his page, as I realize this picture is a little blurred.

Just trust me!

Blessings!

Casper D Dog

As you may or may not know, I run another blog for my American Eskimo Dog. It's just a cute little blog about his "adventures". Anyway, few weeks ago, another Eskie stopped by and left a comment. I didn't check out his blog right away, but by the time I did, I saw that the little guy is suffering from Evan's Syndrome.

So, if you're an animal lover and have a couple extra bucks to spare, please read Casper's story and donate to his medical bills.

God Bless

IMAGINARY FRIENDS | Webcomic cartoon

IMAGINARY FRIENDS | Webcomic cartoon

Oh, I know that I have reviewed this comic previously, but every once in a while, I like to revisit a comic and mention what has changed, etc.

In this case, not much. Darren, buddy, where are you? Why am I without your comic from March 8th? Damn the man! I'm sure that he's in on it!!!

Come back to us, Darren, come back from wherever you are that is preventing you from giving us Grandma Jobson!!!!

So, don't bother checking the comic until March 17, which is the day after tomorrow! I know I'll be the first reader in line!

Blessings!

Metal Of Honor: Frontline

Maybe I like this one because it's the first one I played. Or, maybe, it's because the D-Day action seemed just so real. It's definitely like my grandfather discribed it.

Anyway, I'm sure most of my readers have either played this game and liked it or played it and not liked it, so this review is really for those who haven't tried any of the Metal of Honor games.

I used to think that I wouldn't like first person shooters. I've tried Halo and I wasn't impressed. (But, I was playing with my son-in-law and he kept shooting me in the back.)

Anyway, this is a terrific game. The story is easy to follow and doesn't bog you down. Play attention to the assignment, so you'll know where to go next. It's like a puzzle and a shoot 'em up all in one.

So, if you haven't tried it, give it a try.

You'll Have That

Have I reviewed this comic before? I don't think so, but even if I have, it's worth a second look.

The premise reminds me of "Mad About You", but the guy isn't as smart as Paul. And, the couple is younger than Paul and Jaime, well, maybe it doesn't remind me about "Mad About You". Hmmm, I'll have to think about that one.

Anyway, if you haven't read You'll Have That, well, you're missing a pretty good webcomic. Wes, the artiste, is having difficulty breaking into syndication and that's a shame, since he is a good talent. I've seen other newspaper comics that aren't half as well drawn and the stories are boring.

Blessings.

Hey Harry!

Hey Harry! used to have an updating link, so I could easily post a copy of the comic here, but now, I can't find it on the website, so you'll just have to go and check it out for yourself.

First, Hey Harry! is a clean comic, which (as I've said all along) is a good thing. Second, Hey Harry! is a one panel weekly comic that makes blows everyday events out of proportion and gives you a chuckle.

Not too complicated and easy on the eyes (Plus, the artist is kind of cute himself), if you like the one panel, no storyline to follow comic -- this one is for you.

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves for PS2 - Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves Playstation 2 - Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves PS2 Game

I've now played all three of the Sly Games. I think this one just might be my favorite, even though it is the hardest.

The game does depart from the original Sly and Sly 2 in that it allows a two player option, which I haven't tried. Further, there are no clue bottles and if there are clue bottles, I haven't found them. You need to purchase all the power-ups and that can get expensive.

If you remember the ending to Sly2, Bentley was hurt. His injury has caused him to be wheelchair bound and Murray to go study with a Guru.

One thing I don't like is Carmelita's voice. She's played by a different actress and her voice just isn't right. Suggestion: If you do a Sly 4, go back to the original Carmelita! Please!

Expanding...

I'm a complicated lady, well, actually, I'm not. I just have many different interests. One is Online Comics, which I guess you could tell by this blog. Another is video games, which you might not have been able to tell by this blog. So, I know that technically to do things right, you should specialize, but really, how many blogs can I possibly update in any given week? I have so many.

So, I'm expanding Online Comics to include Video Games. Big leap there, I know. I mean how many people could possibly like both Online Comics and Video Games?

Well, me, for one and I'm sure there's someone else out there.

So, sit right back and I'll begin reviewing games...This shouldn't hurt a bit.

Til Next Time.
