Why I'm going to see the New Superman...

I've never stood in line for an X-men ticket. I only saw the Fantastic Four because it was a double feature with the Johnny Depp version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. If Batwoman hadn't just come out, my last comic book purchase would've happened when I was nine years old.

But, Superman is being released this month and I'm going to go during the first weekend. You're probably wondering why.

Well, I'll tell you.

I loved Christopher Reeves' version of Superman and it has been, I think, 30 years since we saw Superman on the big screen. But, haven't you missed him? I mean, really miss him.

Superman, who came from outer space, with the soul purpose of saving the planet is a Savoir like figure. And, right now, what this country needs is a Savior.

If you doubt it, think about it.

We're at war, our gas prices are rising, our economy is slowing, every ten seconds a woman is raped, 50% of our marriages end in divorce -- wouldn't it be nice if there was a Superman, who could save us from ourselves?

So, in my eternal hope that Jesus will return in my lifetime and that Superman is real and vital, I'm going to go see the new movie.

What about you?

Dueling Analogs and the Other Side...

Well, I know I'm really new to all this Webcomic stuff, but now, I'm feeling quite like a fool. A little while ago, I reviewed Steve Napierski's Dueling Analogs. I really like the strip and find it both funny and interesting.

Flash forward to last Friday. I just started reading through the archives on The Outer Circle. My intent is to post a review once I've caught up on the whole thing.

Anyway, today, I read Dueling Analogs and Steve has opened an online store. He's selling The Outer Circle stuff there. So, then it dawns on my dimwitted brain -- "Hey, this guy is drawing both comics!" Gee, am I a genius or what?!?

Yeah, yeah, I know it's the or what.

Have a nice day and when you get a chance, check out Steve's store.
